No. 1 Obese country in da World...

Australia has been named the "no. 1" obese country in the world for 2008, overtaking the north Americans for the very first time. I would partly agree to the statement as i am able to spot a high "density" of giants around. In addition, Oversea students also tend to put on kilos during their time over here in Australia, although this could never be link with the quality of food that you can find in Brisbane. Anyway...i am pretty thankful that i am able to shed almost 18 kilos of my fat "naturally" during my near 3 yrs stay in Brisbane. :)
As for Australia, being given the embarassing title is nothing to be proud about BUT i would like to make it clear that Aussies is not as lazy and unhealthy as many would have thought of. Indeed, if u would have taken a closer look into their lifestyle, one would have realised that they indeed hv gt a very good one. Eg: most of the people slept early here, around 10pm and they wakes up early and does lots and lots of excersice. The people just loves to do sports like rugby and and also going to gym. I think this is where malaysians and especially the young ones should learn frm the Aussies. In my opinion, the only explanation to the high obesity level among Aussies would be the huge intake of red meat and alcoholic drinks. So in conclusion, we should drink like the Asians and excersise like the Aussies..haha
Work has gone on the busy side for me as the financial year has drawn to a close here on the 30th of June and i am now busy preparing tax returns for individuals as well as companies. I am pretty excited hearing the news that my home town, Penang is listed as one of the world's heritage site. Well Done!!
I am now finding the news in Malaysia to be more "interesting" compare to wat we used to hv few years back as political unrests set to continue for atleast a couple of months...I really hope this will end sooner rather than later as i think the people must be extremely tire of reading about politicians backstabbing each other in the news daily.

a "not so cold" winter

Finally back here writing again..although i really don't hv much to write about. June was a pretty peaceful, eventless and mayb "boring" month for me. Its winter break for Uni down here in Brissy and that also mean going home time for most of my frens, finally i got to enjoy a little peace of mind at home but it gets abit too quiet at times:p I heard the Wimbledon final between Nadal and 5 times winner Roger Federrer was really good if not the best ever from a few of my tennis crazy frens. I didn't watch it for myself but anyway would like to congratulate Nadal for dethroning Federror after coming close for the past few tourneys.
And b4 i forget, back to the title of this blog:) This is winter is really not tat cold compare to the previous two that i have came across. It hardly go under 10 degrees celsius this time as it would be pretty normal to stay around 6-8 degress at nite during the previous two occasions. The oni explanation i have for this phenomena would be global warming again..haha
And finally, its good to link up with my few secondary school frens again through their blogs..its been years since i last met them:) Hv a good winter everyone!!
