Happening...hAppenings

June marks the start of winter down here in Brisbane and many of us would love those chills that winter have in store while others would probably dislike it. Thats why winter turns out to drag longer than summer days for those "sunny people". This can also be explained by Einstein's famous theory where he said that time "seems" to have pass faster if you were to seat beside a pretty girl than if u were to seat in a hot and boring room.
Countless events and catastrophe had happen since my last post and of course lots more are waiting to take place. If i were to weight those happenings in terms of goods and bads...the negative ones would far outweight the positive ones. Wrath of nature have taken the lifes of more than 100,000 people in both China and Myanmar and that terrifying figure are still rising from time to time. I think it's time for us to finally take up Al Gore's word on global warming seriously before any punishment is summoned on us again.
A major concern for me right now would be the "huge and unimaginable" side effect that the steep increse in oil price will bring to my family and mates back in Malaysia. I would describe the "shocking" decision frm the Malaysian goverment as adding a stab into the already wounded malaysian economy and unstable political situation since the march election.
Finally, Euro 2008 which are being co hosted by Austria and Swiss would atleast bring something to cheer for everyone. The premier footballing event that will begin tomorrow comprise of europes top national teams and i would tip the reigning world champion, Italy to lift the trophy when the curtain closes at the end of June.
Anyway, on my side, i have had a great week of work thus far:) God Bless
